  • Plastic rattling under the hatch wing

How do I tighten? Seems to rattle with the bass. Thanks

do you mean the plastic trimming? are you sure it's on the hatch? it usually stays pretty tight...I'd try to see if the rattling is coming from the wheel well covers (where the rear speakers are mounted). I have to tighten them and get a little clever..., if your spare and jack aren't tight, they'll rattle too with bass.

I'm sure it's the plastic trim on the hatch. The rattles go away when I put pressure on it. I will keep looking though.

Jack is tight, so is the spare (I'm afraid to make that too tight thinking I'm gonna indent the quarter panel).

You've probably already looked, but there are some hooks at the front edge of the panel that are supposed to slip into the sail panels. Maybe that's it.

Definitely the plastic trim, but I isolated it to near the hydrolic that helps the hatch up. This is on the passenger side.

The sail panel by the back seats uses some velcro to help secure it. Maybe that's what came loose.

Sail panel is not what's rattling. Sorry for not being clear.

I have the Milhouse box in the hatch area. When flipped down into the well, it rattles the plastic trim that surrounds the rear glass, on the passenger side near the hydrolic that lifts the hatch.
