  • Rail mount fuel pressure regulator

I just got one of these as a christmas gift. My question is with my engine being stock w/ an aftermarket exhuast, is this worth hanging onto until i
do a heads and cam swap or supercharger. I know my 96 would have benefited from this being that it ran on the ritch side. This is for my 93 z28. Thanks ahead for any feedback.

Well it will certinly alow you to dial in the pressure to the factory spec which the stock FPR is usually not right on.

Your 1996 model would not benefit from an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The PCM would have seen the "leaned out" mixture and richened it back up after a while. Thus, the initial 10-15 hp gain would be nullified. However, your 1993 will benefit from this because it is not "smart" enough to richen back up the mixture - at least I think.

I would have suggested you get your computer tuned for your current setup, rather than going with an AFPR. But since you already have it, making it a few psi leaner may help, but watch out, (as you probalby already know) because too lean is very bad for your motor.
