I've owned my 2000 Camaro for about 7 years now, and this question has always bugged me. Why doesn't the smaller bulb on the side of the signal/daytime running lamp blink to let other cars next to you know you are turning their way? I guess the smaller bulb should suffice as a side marker, but doesn't really do anything rather than turn on at night. I've almost been in a accident several times since a lot of businesses have their exits next to each other and the other vehicle doesn't have a clue which way I am going to turn if they are not right behind me or in front of me. Does your Camaro do the same thing or is there something wrong with mine? I would appreciate your replies. Thanks!

I haven't looked, but I though this was a requirement, per Federal MV standards- I will have to look-

On my truck, I mounted a small marker light under the exterior mirrors, wired into the turn signals- It has worked so well, I have been thinking about doing this with the Camaro- this just may motive me-2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress

I also thought it was a requirement. Please let me know. I might do the same.1988 5.0 TBI Camaro 700R4 Transmission

I think that is the sidemarker light , requierment for us market, my european spec camaro and the jap spec v6 dont have that, its blocked and just says export on the back.
The jap spec has the reflective side lights in the rear bumper, but no bulbs , its just reflective, and the euro spec one doesnt have them at all, the rear bumper looks weird without them.

Also the euro spec 99 camaro has level adjusting headlamps, the switch is under the hvac controls93 t/a A4 3.23s

Would it be hard to wire the side marker on the front to the turn signal in the back? It might not be the easiest but the front signal has its daytime lamps running so it might have the side marker on all the time as well. What are your thoughts? Thanks again!1988 5.0 TBI Camaro 700R4 Transmission
