    Hi guys

I'm planning to get a new but cheap toy. I found that:
    http://www.autoscout24.ch/AS24Web/D...=ger&id=3911059

It has 120'000miles, no mods, some hicks and a bump in the door but the car only costs 3000 USD.

    My first mods would be:
    - Exhaust! A V8 must sound! Any suggestions for good aftermarket parts and maybe online shops??
    - New shocks (Bilstein or Koni i think)

Performance: What can i get out of a 5L V8 with just 172HP??? My 1998 Jeep is a monster in acceleration and i think faster than the 7 seconds this Trans Am has!

    Thanks for assistance

Link doesnt work. Sounds like a fun project. What engine does it have? From the size & hp rating you gave it sounds like its the 305 TBI. Same motor I have. Click the link in my signature for ideas on mods.

Oh, don't know why the link doesn't work but Black97 found it!

Mark B: You put a lot of money in the car... does it help against the weak performance? =)

Its much faster than stock... But its still not fast. Compared to most of the imports around here its fast. But I wouldn't challenge another Camaro/Firebird/Mustang and expect to win. If you want the car to be more than a weekend crusier/play car, you should plan an engine swap.
