  • keyed hub possibility??

hello again all still workin on the 94 t/a gt and was wondering if there is any work to be done to the crank if you want to go with a keyed hub like the one at thunder racing?? or do you just install the key and then install the hub on the key? some people say to take the crank to a shop??? others say its a simple bolt on and the only reason you would take it to the shop is that you dont want to pay 80$ for a keyed hub.. still for a gm opti to come in the mail and i will let you all know how it goes(no spark condition??) thanks again for any advice or input

Add a key to the slot already in the crank snout and put on your keyed hub. That's it.

thank you guys great response.. very helpful, i wont sand this one out!!! (i got some rust in the old hub and thought it would be a good idea to sand it out ... not thinking that the LT1 had a form fitting hub!!!!!) i also like the idea that you cant put it on wrong!! thanks again guys !!!
