lt1 is hurting, help!!

OK guys i have a problem. My engine just shuts off while im driving. I dont know what causes it. The wierd thing is i just changed my fuel filter before it started happening. Can i have possibly done anything wrong in that process to cause this? It doesnt happen at certain times or anything. I drove it all the way to school today, about a 25 minute trip, with out problems. On the way home it happened like 8 times. The only thing i noticed is that two of the times it started to happen and i pressed on the gas and it stayed on. But as soon as i let off it shut off again. Please help!

I thought mine was bad so I changed mine last weekend. It wasn't what was wrong with it but it did enable me to find it. To make a long story short, the connector plugging into my alarm had worked it's way out. Well at least I have a new switch and I found the cable going to the shifter was broken so that is disconnected and my key isn't hard to get out any more.

that sounds like it. how much did the switch cost and how much of a pain was it to do?

It was time consuming but not hard. My biggest problem was the stupid cable that goes to the shifter. M6 guys won't have that problem. I did have to get help getting the steering column lined up with the U joint looking piece under the hood. I found no damage to the wiring harness even though I bought the connector.
