    Check this out.

I went with 17" for 3 reasons. Better fit. Better selection. Better prices.

275/40/17 has almost the same contact patch as the 18" without having any clearance problems.

I second that. I went from the other way back. I new I wanted to run the Firestone Firehawk SZ50's http://www.bridgestonetire.com/dpp/g...sProductID=216 so I looked at the sizes they were made in and decided on the Camaro SS wheels in 17X9 to use the 275-40-17. They make a 285-40-17 for the 9.5 inch wide tire but they are a lot more expensive. Demand for the 275 is higher so they are better priced. I also like 5 spoke wheels so the SS wheels were a perfect fit.

My second choice tire is Bridgestone RE750 http://www.bridgestonetire.com/dpp/g...productid=1075
2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

      1995 Z28, many mods, SOLD

I know HRE wheels are expensive but they are so sweet. When I bought my 97 TA they came with it and where a real selling point for the car. They are so nice and I get compliments on them all the time. When ever someone see's my car for the first time the first thing they say is "Wow, nice wheels" I'll try and post a pic when I get home tonight. I have 17s Stay tuned for pic

Vette wheels - not quite what you asked for, but I thought I'd show you anyway since it's all GM except for the rotors...
