Has anyone shampoo'ed their carpets? What kind of machine would you use that has some sort of attachment small enough to get the tight floor areas. Would it work if I rent one of those supermarket carpet steam cleaner machines?
There are some places that advertise complete detailing including carpet shampoo but I'm thinking I could same some money if I can do it myself. I have never done this before.
I just saw in an auto store something called Liquid Clay Bar. (i forgot the brand) Would this do as well as a traditional clay bar? My camaro is going to need the full treatment this year - clay, zaino for scratches, etc.
I'm looking outside today and I see snow/rain/sleet/thunder/slush and whatever else could fall from the sky but its March 1, so nice weather and spring detailing can't be too far off!!

it depends how much you want to clean, and how much work your willing to do. The best thing i would say is remove the front seats and rear buckets, then the center glove compartment. Then use some Oxy Clean. That stuff is amazing, no joke!!! When I first got my last car (1995 honda), I removed all the seats, trim and removed the entire carpet. The Washed the interior floor with the water hoes and a wet/dry handie vac. Then I used the garden hoes and some Oxy clean and a broom. I must of washed about a gallon of soda out of that thing, but it came out spotless, and that car never smelled at all. The key is allowing the carpet to dry completely, if not then your car will smell like foot.
