  • 3000 Stall with stock setup

I was wondering if a vigilante 3000 stall is too much for a stock daily driven car? The only engine mods I have is Mac Headers, K&N Cold air, SLP 2 on da left, LT4 KM and 160 thermostat. I also do have some suspension mods like lower control arms, pan hard bar, sub frame connectors and to be install is LCA relocation brackets. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

3000 rpm is probably not too much, but you must remember the LT1 makes a generous amount of power down low in the rpm range. You probably dont NEED a 3000 rpm convertor; you would probably be better off with slightly lower stall speed.

Take this advice or leave it. I know many would disagree with me; but I always buy my high stahl convertors from a local guy that makes each one custom. A 3000 stahl convertor in Car A may not be a 3000 stahl convertor in Car B. There is alot to take into account when building stahl speed into a convertor, such as weight of the vehicle, cubic inch dis, stroked or not, cam profile, and many others. The guy I use takes all this info into account when he builds a convertor to get an exact stahl speed for the VEHICLE. It is impossible to mass produce a 3000 (or any other rpm) stahl convertor.
