Tailight problem

Ok, real quick:

Three weeks ago inches from my tailight I hit a guard rail going pretty fast, now the light (only the left brake light) wont come on while the parking lights are on, but will come on when I brake.

Whats going on?
Suggestions?

I fixed it, I was unaware there were two filaments in there!

Yeah I was going to say, its your bulb. Ones for Brake lights and ones for parking lights,
