Hello once again guys !!!

Well I finally got my security light problem fixed by switching ignition lock cylinders. Turns out that the guys at Advance Auto didn't have a clue as to what was going on, but now it is the low trac light.

Here's the problem: Everynow and then when you are slowing down and turning the low trac light will come on and the brake pedal gets really stiff !!!!...it then takes alot of pressure to come to a full stop. sometimes i hear a clicking noise coming from the left front when it does this also. Has anyone else other than me been Lucky enough to have this problem......any help would be greatly appreciated as long as it means keeping it out of the dealership garage$$$.

My car was acting like this just before I parked it for 6 months. I came back and started it and it was gone.

I suspect air in the ABS or brake lines worked itself out over time.

I suggest you bleed your system

I can't see the relationship with the Low Traction light and the clicking in the front. Low Traction should only be working off your real wheel sensors as far as I know and when a spinning rear wheel is detected it should apply the rear brake only to the wheel that's spinning. You should also feel a push back on the throttle.

Now whether your low traction situation is causing the hard braking feeling or not it is difficult to say. The braking issue almost sounds like your power brake booster is not working properly. When a booster goes bad, it will feel just like you describe.

I think you should head for the dealer (as painfull as it sounds) or a competent brake shop because you need somone to run diagnostics on the whole ABS/Traction Control sysytem to see what is going wrong. The car sounds dangerous to drive in it's current state and we don't want to see you have an accident.

I believe the Low Trac light will illuminate when you are applying the brakes and any wheel experiences a momentary loss of traction. I have experienced this when coming to a rather quick stop and hitting a bump, or expansion joint in the road. The jolt is sometimes enough to cause the tire to loose traction with the road and activate the light.

It sounds like your problem is in the ABS system. The clicking you are hearing could be the ABS system activating. I wouldn't mess around with it. Take it to the dealer.
