  • Manual Trans. Fluid Change

I believe that GM specifies no interval for this service, at least in the 5-spds. I know some people who change it and many who don't (I guess until a rebuild).

What is your preference on this service? Would you recommend an alternative to the DEXRON stuff? Mobil-1 for example. How about the rear?

I changed my Fluid with Normal ATF and its been working fine. It sure wont hurt to change the fluid. If your up to like 30k-50k, Id say go for it. Its easy anyways.

Thanks, Eddie. My 98 has 52k, so it wouldn't be too soon or too late.
