I have a 1997 trans am with a stock LT1. My problem is that under wot the transmission fails to shift. It doesn't matter in what gear once it hits 5700rpm it bounces off the limiter making me think it is a governor issue. The transmission was rebuilt 1 year and about 6000 miles ago so i don't think it is a overall problem likely something small. The car shifts fine otherwise and even with the shift kit relatively smooth. If any one has any ideas I'm up to try anything.
