  • BBK shorty headers ceramic coated (used)

I would appreciate your point of view about this header brand, mainly:
    1) will fit with Random Tech dual cat Y pipe?
    2) easy bolt on?....Do I have to purchase a newer and better bolts?
    3) better gasket to use
    4) How about the clearances with the spark plug wires
    They come with emission addies....
I already know that a better brands are SLP or Arizona Speed & Marine (better flow tested) and the long ones but I'm sure my car will have clearance issues here in my country... And I don't want to spend more money now (I already upgraded the valvetrain with Pro Mag 1.6 RRs, pushrods, guideplates, double coil springs, 7/16" studs w/polylocks plus the mechanic fee.....wow)

My point would be about these particular headers will be better than stock ones, am I right?

Thanks a lot in advance to share your knwoledge about this matter with me
    Regards

Hey, I bought the ceramic coated BBKS's and am quite satisfied with them. They still look new, the spark plug clearance is good and they def flow alot better than the stock manifolds. They seemed pricey though. The gaskets and bolts are garbage. I used ARP 1" bolts and aluminum gaskets. As for fitment, the drivers side fit perfect, the pass. side was difficult because the we needed to weld the collector pipe included with the package onto the existing pipe we cut. It took some custom fabrication.

Other than that, they def made some power and look great, theyre even completely emmission legal cause they dont relocate anything.

      Thanks Blackthunder50 for your imput...
The guy asks 300+35 S&H with 3000 miles on them, the pictures show they are in a very good condition....are the price fair?

Your suggestions in order to purchase them are welcome

300 for ceramic coated and only 3000 miles seems very fair considering they re 489 new. Just remeber to use ARP header bolts and percys gaskets.

just want to add my 2 centavos....... locking header bolts. Breslin split lock or Stage 8. You only want to do this once, you may as well make darned sure it's not coming apart on it's own.

            Thanks a lot again....Blackthunder50......

Joe.... glad to hear from you...and your dos centavos too, jajaja, In fact I already purchase the Stage 8 from Stealth Performance with Mike H....
I recall your counseling about the SLP shorties plus Random Tech Y pipe (this one is installed in my car already), but they are veeeery expensive for my budget right now...and very difficult to get...

I hope you are getting well and your complete recovery..
            A huge hug for ya

            Take care
