  • EGR Reverse Purge Flow

    New long block installed 1,506 miles so far got a few codes a lean bank code and an o2 sensor code drove for about 18 miles today after replacing the o2 sensors and a code pops up EGR purge solenoid reverse flow. I checked the EGR lines and they seem to be right I am going to check again in the morning. Any other idea's what it could be?

    What was the EXACT numerical code? There is nothing similar to what you describe for the 96/97 LT1's EGR system. A code (P0403) for a faulty electrical circuit on the EGR vacuum (there is no EGR purge solenoid) solenoid, and a code (P0400) for insufficient EGR flow. But nothing like you describe.

    Could you possibly mean a code (P0443) for the EVAP purge solenoid circuit, or one of the manufacturer specific codes (P0441) for no flow during purge, or (P1441) vacuum present during non-purge?

      in any case will any of these codes be doing serious damage to my engine ?
