My AC hasn't worked in a couple of years. Well i can't take it anymore with the Florida heat and when a compressor goes bad doesn't it start to leak? Also what the best way to see if its leaking?

    Also this is a 3.8 V6

u need to get it hooked up to the correct gauges. and have a professional look at it. theres more then just a compressor to the system. theres lines, condensor, evaporator, accumlator/receiver drier, expansion/fixed orfice tubes and the sensors/wiring. if the compressor is bad it doesnt have to leak. it can blow up internally. a/c is not something to mess around with and also, if u just open the system and the EPA finds out ur done for. not to mention it will prob need to be put under a vacuum to remove the moisture in the system. theres alot more but dont wanna get too far over ur head
