  • One problem sovled, another arises...

Alright, I just changed my oil sending unit, i took the car for a 20 minute drive at night to make sure everything was working fine, then I get home, turn off the car, go grab my shop manual and then turn the light switch to get my headlights on... no headlights at all, no high beams no nothing. Every other light was working, interior, fog lights, parking lights, tail lights... just my dang headlights, and I'd JUST had them on not five minutes beforehand... I don't get it, can someone help me? I'm not too great at electrical junk

I've looked all over on my 94 Z and cannot find a fuse or breaker for the headlights anywhere. There isn't any mention of it on the websites I've checked either.

Only Idea I have is maybe they are on a fusable link. I'd use a check light to make sure are blown. They are by the battery and red power distribution block. Mine are orange wires that lead into the box and splice to regular wires after 5 inches or so.

    Good luck.

I blew out all four headlights on my 97 a few years back. Do know why it happened, but it has never happened since. I would check to see if they are still good.

Happened on my wifes car. I checked fuses and wires and asked on forums for help. But it ended up being that all the bulps went at the same time.

My lights are working again, I have no clue what happened. I'm told there is a circuit breaker in the light switch, maybe it got overloaded somehow and reset itself ?
