  • Interior color code info

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have 2 separate questions:

    1) I came across this picture the other day and was wondering if anyone could provide me with the interior name and color code to match the one in this picture? Also, what were the exterior colors available with this interior code?

    2) has anyone found a spray paint that color matches the door pocket/speaker unit? I have tried a couple of different brands and they are all off - they look ok in the garage, but take on a different shade in the sunlight.

    many thanks
    Tim

What do mean. Do you mean the Door panel?

Yes, the door panel. The plastic pocket on the panel (the same plastic part that covers the speakers) is a bit scuffed up on mine and I wish to paint over it to hide the marks a bit. Basically, the color of all the plastic on the door panel. The car has the dark grey interior.

The so called dark grey that most paint stores seem to carry is too much on the light side. I just came across a web site that lists an Ebony. Would this be a better match? Hard to tell sitting at home looking at the color on a monitor.

        What year is your car?

Have you looked at the vinyl paints available from The Eastwood Company. They have both the SEM colors and their own vinyl colors:

I've use the "graphite" vinyl coat and its a perfect match for my 94 Formula "graphite" interior, and a buddy's dash on a 30th SS 'vert with a white interior.

The car is a 2002, and yes I tried the SEM graphite. I don't recall the exact problem, but, it too was not a match (I seem to think everything I tired was too light, except black). Right now I will try the Ebony (it's the only one left)

Still interested in the interior code for the above picture. All I have is that the color is called Camel, but I am interested in the code.

          Thanks,
          Tim

If your interior is graphite, the speaker/door pocket trim is slightly darker than graphite but not quite ebony/black. I had the scuffs from shoes and decided to repaint the trim flat black. Since I painted selected panels flat black also, it was a match. But any graphite won't match that section.

The door pocket/speaker trim on the tan/black interior combinations was a darker color than just the graphite. Graphite would be too gray, you should try the ebony, it should work. As far as your color code, not sure
