  • will a 97 T/A run with the instrument cluster diconnected?

I haven't gotten far enough to test it, I have abouyt a dozen wires to splice first. The instrument cluster was blown apart in the accident and it appears to be the only thing damaged that would affect it from starting and running. anyone run the car with the cluster disconnected?

The PCM doesn't have many interfaces to the dash panel..... SES light, tach and speedo. There is no "feedback" of any kind that I have ever found. I'll guess "yes".

just an FYI, My GN will run but requires the alternator idiot light to be active and plugged in or the battery will not charge, the end result is that you run strictly off battery power until it fails. never could understand that one.

        Thanks for the insight guys.

May be similar on the F-Body... I've never tried to run without the dash panel.
