  • Mysterious oil leak front of block

I have a mysterious oil leak on the front right side of the timing chain cover starts towards the top. It appears to be a steady from behind the water pump.

If anyone has any guesses as to what it could be all help is appreciated I have to try and fix it tomorrow evening.

Recently put the new engine in so if there are any common mistakes we might have made shoot!

    Thanks again,
    Sean

It's probably the oil seal on the water pump drive shaft.

The seal has to be properly installed with a plastic sleeve or it will tear.

    It's a common mistake.

There's some threads about that on this forum......
