  • ughhh.... the little things kill ya

i new that things had been going a little to well lately. I was taking my usual route home from work and stopped at the stop sign in front of my street and the sun visor slid forward and fell off... i tried sticking the arm back in the bracket but the dang thing wont stay. i cant tell you how it broke, ive never touched it and nobody else drives my car... any clue on how to fix it or how much a new one will cost (and whats the labor in that?) If it was up to me id just JB weld the sucker back in there since i dont use it but you know that thats when youll end up needing it so i might as well fix it right... thanks in advance guys

If the bracket itself broke (the spring that fits up inside the pillar), they are a snap to fix. I had teh same thing happen to me--one day driving along and teh thing fell off into my lap at 70 MPH.

you can usually get a pair of teh brackets on ebay for about $20-$25 and they just snap into the original sunvisor after you gently pull the broken one out of the visor.

Otherwise, you have to replace the entire visor as a unit-expensive.

exactly what I described above--it happened to me last summer. You can buy 2 brackets on ebay for about 20-25 bucks, and it takes 5 minutes to replace. Otherwise, you have to replace teh whole visor and it will be around 100 bucks

              See my other post above

BTW-where you located? I might be convinced to sell ya the one I still have for half what I paid for teh pair==$12.50 plus shipping. let me know.
