The general consensus regarding the pinion and ring brand is Motive plus the installation kit.........the less noisy brand.
Since your car has manual tranny the 4.10 is the right to install ( the auto requires 3.72). I've read that you should upgrade your torque converter too, but I'm not sure which one...3500 or more....this combo will give you the best performance to your car...congratulations for your suspension upgrades !!! Let me suggest to you the relocation braquets....

Heads up, M6's done have Torque Converters. ha ha. Plus if you go with a 3.72's in an Auto with a 3500+ TC then you can say goodbye to your MPG on a Daily Driver.

What is the goal of changing the gears. What do you have in there right now? Are you willing to lose MPG over going to a higher gear set. Do you want to go lower to Increase MPG. The gears is not that expensive but the install is where they get you. Plus your going to want to get an installation kit. Everything should come out to around $400-600 installed.

        4.10 for manuals

        3.73 for autos

If you keep your revs down...3.73 aren't that bad. I still get 26-27 mpg on a light foot crusiing 65-70 but that's with a stock converter. I can't comment about it with a converter with a higher stall.

        Never seen 3.72 geare before.

I didnt Catch that one. ha ha ha. A buddy of mine was running 3.73's with a 3800 Stall and he was pulling well under 2 seconds in the 60'. Something like 1.74 on a 2001 SS Slightly modded. That kind of set up is ideal for Drag Racing, Horrible for street.

Im running 4.10's and a 3800 stall and cant complain. I didnt buy this car to be a gas sipper anyway. Before I throw some stuff out there, what do you want out of the car? Drag, road course, street only, turbo, nitrous, charger, This is all important to know. Im building a turbo engine this go round, so Im stepping down in gear to probably a 3.42 or so to help spool the turbo.

Do you know what you have in there now? If you 3.42's or higher than leave it as it is. If you go higher all your going to do is get yourself in trouble. Thats why Im planning on taking off my line-lock. Its a cause for trouble. ha ha ha.

If I was you I would not listen to those Rustang Guys. ha ha ha. They are all about Boost and "NOS" ha ha ha. Gears are a goosd mod, but whats the point if your not going to be racing it "legally."

Once again, Its only going to get you into trouble.

What gears actually do and what the number means is a ratio. say you have a 3.42 gear, that means 3.42:1, or 3.42 rotations of the driveshaft for 1 rotation of the axle. When you change gears you are changing the rpm at a given mph. Higher gears(lower number) like a 2.73 will lower your rpms at a given mph(great for gas mileage, top end runs, etc) where lower gears (higher number) like a 4.10 will raise the rpms at a given mph(great for drag racing, short track road racing, etc.) I agree that if you have a 3.42 gear, keep it, its a good street gear, and not worth the money or trouble to step up to a 3.73(you'll notice the drop in gas mileage more than the performance gain).
As far as Rustangs go, I used to be a Melvin, they need to stretch their rpms as much as possible with the 4.6, so 4.30 gears are not out of the norm for serious street/strip mustangs. Where the lt and ls engines do like to rev, they have very good torque.
