A couple questions for the f-body gurus...

my car is coming up on about 85k miles, ive noticed it running a bit rough and im changing all three o2 sensors today. The previous owner only mentioned changing plugs. I would imagine that it is past due for a tune up soon. I stumbled upon this website http://www.delteq.com/products.htm Ive never heard you guys talk about it so let me know what you think. I cannot do the tune up myself i do not have a lift and as you can see my car has the 2" drop so i would be bringing it to a mechanic friend for the tune up. I envision it costing a little more than a grand so if this kit is good its cheaper and seems like something i could do myself.

Also if i have a regular tune up done how much more work is it to do a cam? I know you have to take much of the front of the engine apart to do the tune up alone. Thanks in advance guys.

Installing a Cam is much more work than a Tune-Up. For the cam you have to remove the intake manifold, The rockers and pretty much everything from the front of the engine. Its a project for sure.

Why are you only changing three O2 sensors - your car has four?

To replace the Optispark as part of a tune-up, all you need to remove is the water pump and the harmonic damper (not including the hub). You need to take a lot more than that off it to change the cam.

Why does the fact that your car is lowered and you don't own a lift prevent you from doing the plugs, wires, Opti, cam, etc yourself? A jack and some jack stands will get the front end high enough to reach anything you have to access from the bottom. There is nothing to "tune up" other than the Opti, plugs, wires, a few filters and fluids, and the O2 sensors.

If you are looking for a more reliable ignition system, also consider the LTCC 8-coil setup.
