  • Fog Lamp Replacment/Upgrade

Well I always had the issue that the foglights in my car are dim and all scratched from highway driving. I replaced the bulbs with some aftermarket ultra white ones and what happened? They melted the housing. ha ha ha.

So now im in the market for some Aftermarket lights. I was thinking, Considering that we never have fog here in California, I should get some Projector lights and put them down there to help with the lack of lighting the Headlights give. Anyone ever done anything like this?

I found KC highlights model #415(black housing) or 417(chrome housing) almost 5" round. These lights have an outside diameter of 4.75" and fit very nicely. They also mount to the existing bracket, upside down...making installation easy.
These lights are better than my highbeams 100 watts are great, just keep them aimed a little low.

Has anyone run these? They look good and they are long range so thats what I need. My only concern is they might make my headlights look dim. I know my buddy had some KC's on his Jeep and Damn those things light up the world. ha ha ha ha. Plus they are pricy but as they say, " you get what you pay for."

The light pattern is crappy. I want some headlight style lights.

Agreed...LOL! I want brighter and better lights but I like the whole OEM thing. Tell me how it goes...might be doing a swap too.

If I go through the trouble of fabricating brackets and custom set-ups, I think I would go with some Hella projectors- the regular halogen ones are super bright, or, you could spend the money and get true HID projectors that would fit in there.....
