  • Seat belt guide

I broke the seat belt guide of the head rest in my TA and I was wondering how to get the seat belt through the new guide. In my older TA the guide had a split in it to get the belt in, this does not seem to be the case with this car.

You have to un-mount it where it connects to the floor and feed it through. It has a large torx screw in it like a #45.

Both of mine got broken. I cut the broken part off, sanded it smooth, re-drilled the holes, counter sunk them like they were and put them back on. If you didn't know they were not supposed to look like they look you would never know.

That is an excellent idea and sounds easier than the alternative. I might try your idea instead.

      Thanks

I replaced the guide on the passenger side some time ago and did have to unmount the bottom bolt of the seat belt as noted.

        However,
A while ago someone posted a link to the website Modern Day Muscle. They carry the standard seat belt guides in many colors and also carry slotted versions of them in many colors as well. I just ordered a replacement pair of slotted ones for may car cause I can see the drivers side has some stress cracks alredy.

        Check them out.
