  • changing rear shocks

Does anyone have information about changing the rear shocks in a 2002 trans am? From what I can see, you have to remove the interior in order to get to them? Is this true or is there an easier way?
    thanks, liv4tdy

you have to remove the two side interior panels in the rear, pull the carpeting up to expose the bolts.

Then it's pretty cut and dry.....really an easy job.

You can pull the carpet on the package shelf (immediately behind the rear seat) back without removing anything. Under the carpet on each side is a foam rubber blob that needs to be removed to get to the top nut for the shocks.

This assumes you have a coupe, because the 'verts are slightly different. Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car.
