    Hi Guys!

I have a 1997 Formula with only 20, 623 miles on the clock.

The problem is if I drive the car or let it idle and shut her off. If I wait for 20 or 30 minutes and restart her up she will puff some black and blue smoke out the tailpipes. If I wait like 2 hours or all night and start it up in the morning it doesn't do anything at all.

What do you guys think Valve seals leaking or Do you think it is the Fuel injectors leaking a little into the combustion chamber.

I know you all have heard carburated vehicle like try to vapor lock on fuel it kind of does this at times especially if you do a restart before the engine has cooled down.

I hate to pay my local chevy dealer $621.00 to do valve seals if it don't need them.
I talked to the owner while ago and the mileage is the actual miles.

The car runs fine other than the above problem!

    Thanks Lee!

That's what I think. I would suspect valve seals if it sat overnight and smoked upon a cold start, not just a hot start. It could also be ignition related.
