  • Loose hatch

After all the years of my 2 12's in the rear, my hatch rattles and shakes after every bump. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I've taken out my system and it's back to stock sound for now.

There are rubber stoppers at the leading edges of the hatch that you can "Unscrew" to help tighten the hatch...but it might increase the gap lines of your body and taillamps.

It might be more of an issue of the locking mechanism...

Is it rattling at the end or where it bolts up at the hendgies?

Its going to be a combination of what was said above and the rubber trim that seals the hatch and the glass itself. Thats the unfortunate result of constant bass. I have seen cars rattle, leak, glass crack all in the effort of a louder system.
