  • Black Wheels are done. Pics

    Well Got up, Went to the parts store. Bought the Paint and clear. Went home, Removed the wheels and the valve from the valve stem. Then went to the Local Tire shop and got the front part of the tire pushed back so I can get the lip painted too. So went home, Washed them with Commercial degreaser and wet-sanded the rims with 320 grit. Then started painting. I tested the Clear thats recommended for the Duplicolor Wheel paint but it looked like crap so I went with just the spray paint. I can always add the clear later. All in all took me 4-5 hours.

    What ya think.

    P.s. Low quality Phone pictures, Brother took my digi cam on business trip.

            Everybody thought I was crazy at work when I told them I was going to Krylon my entire motorcycle, but you can't even tell it's spray paint. It's all flat black now and just looks plain evil!

            Give it the Krylon touch!

                        I think that is a great upgrade -- and low cost to boot. However, it looks very professionally done. If not for the "carpeted work-space" photo, I'd think they came that way. Excellent!

                          Nice work. Although I'm more into the shiny stuff when it comes to wheels.

                            ha ha ha ha. Yeah well you know, the carpet added a little something.

                            Yeah I took my time. It was so damn hot so I had to get the E-Z up out.
                            Then the acid I used to clean the rims was burning my hands. lol.

                            Then when I went to remove the Valve stems, one ripped so I ended up buying all new valves stems. All in all it cost me:

                            Spray Cans= $5.69X3
                            Newspaper= Free
                            Carpet= Free
                            Have the tires pressed= $10
                            Valve Stems= $3eachX3

                            GRand total= Right under $40

                            Thanks a lot for the comments guys. Yeah Im not into the Bright and shiny as you can tell.
