  • Friends new girlfriend

So my buddy brings his new girl over tonight to say hi. We start talking cars and she seems interested in the subject. She says she has a Saturn that she drag races. I ask her if she wants to go down to the garage and check out my Z, and she is very interested. As we are lookiing, she mentions her Saturn has a best ET of 12.5! WOW. A FWD Saturn in the mid 12s...

Turns out it is a 3800 series motor with a supercharger and a 5 speed stuffed under the hood. She claims 30Lbs of boost with an overdrive pulley?!?! Is this possible? Another friend of mine has seen the car run, she is not BSing me.

Anyway, she got my seal of approval to date my friend. Car chicks are cool. She says next time she comes down she will bring it and give me a ride. I'm looking forward to it.

ahhh...nothing sexier than a woman that can row her own gears. Other than the fact she has a faster car, she's a definate go. Is she HOT??? LoL...nevermind.

That is cool Norman. I'll send that too my wife and see if she wants to join with her turbo bug. LOL Maybe she can start a new chapter here in Atlanta. He he he.

I still can't get over you selling you Cuda. Man that was a sad day. I wish it were to me. LOL I keep my eye out for that pistol grip shifter. I'd like to put one in my car. I had the 340 6 pack. That was an awsome setup.

....and my wife hates cars. Before we got married she was all interested in restoring an old convertible. Now when I go out to dig into the Z she isn't even interested enough to come look at the progress.

30 lbs of boost would be too high for stock internals and what not... but judging by the fact that she has a supercharged 3800 and a 5-speed manual into a SATURN... i wouldn't expect much of anything to be stock
Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.

                  Current Ride: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - spec.B #312 of 500

NO NO NO boost is not too high...

The boost is too high for stock seeing as how stock engines that are not equiped to handle turbo boost should only be able to handle 7 to 10 lbs easily... But if she has redone the Valve train and the Cylinder walls as well as the pistons and Crankshaft and fuel system you could spit out any where from 20-35 or 40 lbs of boost, just the engine want last long and has to be rebuilt quite often...

One of my friends has a 2001 Mustang Black V6 and his mustang stock had about 195 hp and with the supercharger, board out cylinders, fuel system upgrade, and exhaust and intake mods... He has it possibly around 275 to 285 horsepower maybe its a lot higher than that... Which means he can do quarters in about low 14s to mid 13s... His original best time was in the high 15s to low 16s... But that was because he didn't understand how to utilize the power of his car effectively and still doesn't... because me and another friend have drove it and did the quarter in the low 13s to high 13s...

OH... And remember, it doesn't really matter what the car has in power or performance, BUT ON THE DRIVER'S TALENT AND ABILITY TO STRETCH ALL THE PERFORMANCE OUT OF THE CAR WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT... although having horsepower is good, but not always...

                    LATER...
                    MARA...
