Exhaust question

how to improve engine breathing exhaust out? my cats are cancelled and i had the rear muffler taken out all i have now is the middle muffler and now i have it double pipes out but seems to be a bit noisy, yesterday it didnt have the middle muffler just the rear one with one exhaust pipe it was quieter and i dont know what to tell u about better performance or not cause its raining all day today so i cant realy say but what am i suposed to expect by shifting the vehicles muffler being the big one in the back to the medium sized one in the middle; other then being noisier hehe

what are the steps to improve exhaust the proper way?

The best and easiest way to improve your exhaust flow is to buy a Cat-back system made for your model. Most systems produce about the same power gains. The main differnece being sound and appearence.

right now it just has a middle small/medium sized muffler

is this a new set up? what "middle muffler" are you taking about. i was not aware the f body....v6, or i know v8 doesnt, has a "middle muffler"...is it a resonator inline in the exhaust pipe?

I think he's talking about the catalytic converter....when saying "middle muffler"....???

i realy dont know the guy i got it from had the cats taken out and evertyhtiung else taken out just had a rear muffler, there is somthing "suposed" to be under the front passenger side probbaly resonator or somthing i dont know but i guess its all done getto style now took out rear muffler to make the duals and put in that middle thingy its still loud i think il try to find a dual out muffler to quiet it down a bit although it seems stronger but i like it to be quiet and just like to hear my tires not the exhaust

As far as letting the exhaust out for performance, headers followed by a cutout are the way to go. You can go quiet or have the option of loud.
