  • How fast

Ok, does anyone have a guess as to how fast i would go with a pt4000 converter (or ss3600) tsp 233/239 cam, 3.73's, Lt's, ORY, LM1, 160 thermo, and everything else i didnt mention thats in my sig. AND hoosier cheater slicks.

Ported fast 92 mm intake and 92 mm TB on order.

Why do you call them Cheater slicks? The purpose of using Slicks or Drag radials is to test the ability of the engine not the ability of the tires. ha ha h haa

I say with the list you have you should be damn well into the 12's and/or high to mid 11's. I have seen high 11's with no internals or head work with stock mainfolds. Simply ORY, High stall Vert. and some really sticky rights and a 150 Shot. So yeah you should be in the high 11's low 12's.

P.S. I recommend you do some suspension work as well. Some Re-Loc. Brackets, Control arms and PanHard. Maybe torque arm. With a 4000rpm Stall and 3.73 gears you can kiss your MPG goodbye i think. Thats going to hurt that, Plus its going to put some pressure on your rear end. So I would recommend a T/A Cover.

110-111 mph? whats the et on that?, if i c an 11.90 im going to be so happy, thats what i hope to c as well. When i get the money imma do suspension, i might do a 3600 yank instead of the pt 4000, cuz its too loose.

I'd say do suspension first before anything. That was your already building on a good platform. Thats what Im doing. Then when I break into the engine then I might go all the way and do a tubular k-member for weight.

if i had the money, i would. At the track with the slicks it doesnt wheel hop or anthing cuz the tires crunch, on the road, i still only have 245/50/16 so itll just lite em up. But yes, the next thing i will do is suspension

I have 255's out the back and I cant spin them as much as I used to when I had 245's and no suspension. It really does make a difference.

                    1. Relocation brackets
                    2. Control Arms
                    3. PanHard Bar

That should be in the list of what to get.

Your looking at $180-$300 depending on the brand.

300 thats it?..... wow thats nothing, i thought i was lookin at like 750. But what i do hope is that my 10 bolt wont explode, 1.6-1.7 foots with a ten bolt arent the safest, but that suspension probably helps that.

B/c the car is auto its a little easier on the rear. The trans is going tohave some fun though. I would look into an LS6 Intake Manifold too.

my buddy was running 1.7 60' in a 00 LS1 A4 Z and hitting 110-111 mph he was running 12s, his best run and i cant remember his 60' was 12.06 but that was one time. He has preddy much the same set-up but with a really good dyno tune and he dynoed 395 to the wheels. Most of his runs were 12.5s and such.
