    please help..got ticket and need to fight it!!!!

    hello guys,
    I'm looking for an original front license plate mounting bracket for my wifes 97 pontiac firebird. My wife got a ticket for not having a front license plate it came from the dealer without one. this really gets a rise out of me. So if anyone has one laying around or knows were I can get one cheap please help. I've set a court date in two weeks!!!

    SLP sells a good plate mount that mounts to the bottom of the front facia - easy to install. Or, check the local u-wrench it or GM dealer for a price.

      or do what we did on the Hawk. after 3 tickets ...i mounted the plate here:



      took it to the VA state police substation... with a printed out copy of the VA law on front tags... and they "blessed it".

      has not been pulled over since. that was over 3 yrs ago.

        been checking this f body site for 3 or 4 years or so and always loved your cars. Don't mean to pry but why you selling those rare birds???? They are both awesome I wish I had that type money for your Com TA. Simply an awesome rare car...

          my friend had that same problem from the dealer. what u do is make the dealer give u a letter saying they didnt put on the plate and give it to the cops. it wasnt your fault it was the dealers. bring the papers to the crownattorny and make them deside. it should work b/c my friend did it and the case was dismissed.

            Does not work that way in the U.S., dude.

                dude if the dealer issued 2 plates then 2 plates have to be displayed if dealer issued only 1 plate only 1 needs to be displayed and that 1 would be on the rear also becareful where you mount it there may be laws about that too
