Mine wouldn't budge this morning! Acted just like I was trying to move the gear selector without depressing the brake. Ended up having to take the Cobra to work, and narrowly getting home before the rain hit. I just remedied the problem by removing what I assume is the nuetral safety switch under the console plastic, just forward of the shifter.

yea my car does this all the time and i have to push the button on the shifter really hard and pull the crap out of it and it finally comes. -
Mine started doing it right before I converted it to a 6 speed. I popped the shifter cover off and unplugged the solenoid. It's the BTSI in Rob's picture.
