I just received my new SPEC S1 clutch. I know a couple of you remember that I have had a lot of problems with the clutch dis-engaging. Well I was reading the Instructions and SPEC claims that its not at all good to use synthetic brake fluid in the Master clutch cylinder/slave/Clutch system. Is that true? Is there a difference between a -1998-2000 Slave and 2001-2002?
Lastly, SPEC provides a Shim that goes behind the slave pushing it forward closer to the Pressure plate that they claim if not used, Will not allow the clutch to disengage completely. I would think it would be the complete opposite. What do you guys think? I really hate to have spent another $250+ and drop the trans again only to have the clutch slip again.
Thanks in advance guys.
