Roller rockers have a roller in the fulcrum and a roller at the tip. This drastically cuts down on friction and also reduces heat.Originally posted by DHolmes
Instead of the rocker arm just sliding at the fulcrum and sliding on the tip against the valve, the rollers actually roll.
They also help to reduce flex. Many factory rockers are just stamped from steel and flex considerably.
