Well my TA has lasted thru 5 girlfriends and my Harley (which I have had a long time) outlasted about 7 including some of the TA ones. My GSXR has bagged me 3. The old 69 Roadrunner could pick up girls on the way to dates with other girls. I have decided that these are my true loves and the chicks, which come and go, are just mostly for recreational purposes. The material stuff you own usually just gets you material girls, but that's works for me cause I am pretty material too - just being honest here. This is not to say that I don't treat these GFs very well, which I always do, and I would go for a serious relationship if I saw a glimmer of hope that it would last. They just seem to take things for granted after a few months and then I'm through with them at that point. Also, for some reason that never fails, I get girls in pairs, and it causes an enormous problem. Then I wind up with . I will have to settle for my little mechanical family, which if I take care of it, never lets me down and gets me all the chicks I need...Oh, and I've met plenty who like the danger and bad-boy image as long as they feel relatively secure. One negative thing I have to say is that some of the older women seem to just be looking for someone to make their life easier so they can quit their job and sit on the couch and eat bon-bons and watch soaps all day. You have to look out for that in Wisconsin, especially.

        LOL!! That got me laughing!!

Seriously though, when I find the girl that I love as much as my car....well then it's all over for me!

          Thanks again...

I decided I'll wait and just have my female friend(s) as friends and nothing more, unless it comes down to it...

          Later... and thanks again...

A Camaro is tough. Especially the V8 models. NOT cute. NOT safe. A differnet, harder to find girl is drawn to this. This is a aggresive, sometimes brutal car. and says that about the driver.

See the difference in images these 2 different cars give? Most girls want cute. You are looking for the minority.

My suggestion... Don't be competative. Be very friendly and honest with your friends, especially the females. Make them feel safe and they will want to be around you, and your car.
camaros are a lot safer than hondas, what are you talking about. i wouldn't wanna get in an accident in a honda, cause there is no protection in the front end

You misunderstood me. I didn't mean crash safety. I meant safe in girl safety way. Girls in general, speaking of the majority feel safer around less threatening cars. Like cute little silly sounding hondas... lowered mini trucks, etc... F-bods make a bit of a bolder stronger statment. Alot of girls find that threatening.

The accleration (even mild acceleration) and cornering is just not in her liking for some reason. Even though the handling makes me feel safe in a car like that. These cars also dont ride like a cadillac, and she hates that. But then again I like hitting a bump and then its over ya know? I dunno, but I do agree with whoever said that we will never understand women. All of them want different things. Oh ya, and those late nights at her house till 2am, then leavin with the flowmaster no cats setup doesnt help either. lol

I wouldn't call the T/A the safest car in the market by anymeans though. I got in a wreck and when they pulled off the nose of the car, All that was there was a big piece of styrofoam protecting it. Unless there is something else there that I dont know about? I would think a Honda would recieve a better crash rating? I dunno maybe im wrong?

As far as that goes, I don't know if any girl ever surrendered her panties in a 4th gen f-car cause you can barely move around in them at all, and it probably goes the same for a Civic too, although there's enough of them around that someone has probably scored in one of them at one time or another...

Now my buddy in the Navy once had a 67 Caddy with a huge bench seat in which he removed the passenger side door handle & lock knob & the window was locked out - but i don't know if he ever got a girl trapped in there or not. Now, if you're a girl hitchhiking to the 7-11 for some cigarettes, that's dangerous.

disclaimer: at the time of this story my GF and I were both consenting adults in a long term commited relationship.

That out of the way, read on...

HAHAHA!!! I got a warning from a cop in a 86 camaro back in 91. My gf and I had just been naughty and there was the tap tap tap of the mag light on the window. OMG she freaked out. She was nude, Didn't even think to cover herself, and the cop saw all. LOL... Jeesh that was funny.. He threatened to give us tickets for public exposure and lude and lucivouse behavior, but let us go.

So... It CAN be done in a 3rd gen hardtop. Can anyone testify to the possibility in a 4th gen? Convertibles don't count, that is cheating (unless the top is up).

Lets try not to get to nasty or graphic, this is a family board.

I was shampooing the passenger seat a few days later while my dad walked by. He said "I don't even want to know" and went in the house. I didn't say a word. It is way funny to look back on crap like that now being married with 2 kids. My little girl is going to have me going crazy when she starts dating.... at age 30.

I think I'm going to mount my gun collection and marksmanship awards in a cabinet just inside the foyer. That way they will be the first thing her boyfriend sees behind me when I answer the door and meet him. "SURE you can run faster than me, BOY, but you can't outrun my bullets!"

                      LOL

It's been done in a 4th gen. Anyway, I started dating my wife 5 years ago right after I bought my 'Bird. It was in storage so she never saw it until Spring. I was driving an '86 Buick Century that I bought for $150. I wish I had pics of that car. You guys would die seeing the rust holes on it. It had a hole in the driver's front door, and I found out I could unlock the door from the hole when I locked my keys in it. On my way to pick her up for our first date the right rear brake line blew out on a downhill exit ramp. It's a sickening feeling doing about 65 when the pedal sinks to the floor. It stopped in time though. Second date I hit a pothole and ripped the right rear trailing arm out of the frame. At that point I wondered if it was a sign about dating this girl. I guess it wasn't a sign about her, just that the car wasn't even worth the $150 I paid for it. So, that car lasted 2 months and the girl has lasted 5 years so far. Even with that piece of crap car being her first impression.

                        Andy

p.s. Norm, I'm jealous of you for your cars and all the women that have been near them. You're a lucky guy.

Hey tabahr, I have a form to give you for your girls dating. I have to find it for mine too. It's a questionnaire to give the guy. It foes through all kinds of questions like where do you live, what do you drive, all kinds of stuff. Then at the bottom it says please allow 4-6 YEARS for processing. He he he he. My daughter "you'd better not give that to them." She knows me better than that. I would. LOL

I had a '69 Camaro in H.S. and it was definately possible in that. Fifteen years later, old girlfriends still ask me to go for a ride in it.

As for a 4th Gen, the best option is The Hood.

I brought my Mustang home with a dent in the hood one time. My dad started laughing and didn't even ask.

Well, since this turned into a "relationship" thread. I'll share. Many of you know I was divorced last year after being married for 10 years. I was with her for 13 years. I bought almost all my cars while I was married. One thing I learned is that people change. My cars don't. hahaa I've never been happier in my life. I don't know if I'll ever want to get married again. I don't even want a serious relationship. I'm having too much fun being by myself.
LS15 Power! Another LSx engine coming soon.
