  • Favorite Oil?

Well just got my first F-body (LT1) and wanted to know what was your preferred oil type/brand? I have a '96 T/A WS6 A4 with 92k miles and will need an oil change in a few weeks, and wasn't sure if there was a specific type the LT1 "likes" more than others. Thoughts?

ive always just used mobil 1 5w30 and a purolator filter.

Just don't use a fram filter, or the fram's in disguise.

Been using them for 15 years. Best oil and filter on the planet period. I use the M302 filter too. There is no sense in running the small filter.

I use Castrol. 10W-30. I also use a AC-Delco Filter. Its the #52 instead of the standard #46 filter. The 52 is a little taller which holds more oil. Mobile one is really good too. Like I ways say, If its good for a Vette Its good for my car, Just a bit $$$ but worth it.

I'm doing an oil change today, just thought I'd mention that Advance has a nice little sale going.

mobil 1 quarts are under 5 bucks, and K&N oil filters, regularly $14, are on sale for under $10.

I just paid like $35 bucks for an oil change that usually costs about $45. Nice!

I run the M1-111 oil filter.

There is plenty of sense in that if you have Kooks headers and a longer filter won't fit. Before that, I used the AC Delco PF34L filter which is a longer synthetic filter.
