  • Hey, I'm new. ??About Ground FX??

I'm Jon, and I'm new to the f-Body Boards.

I reside in Good ol' Bristol TN and Belong to message boards such as Fuel Slut and Anti-Rice.

    I had a 71 Barracuda but she's gone. I've got an 84 Mustang that isn't street legal And a 94 Camaro 3.4l grocery getter.

    I've got a question.

I'm trying to sell my Camaro. But it's kinda dull, cause people go 3.4? and frown.
But I can get a set of ground effets to pep it up and make it a bit more desireable to younger kids.

What do you think I should offer for the ground effects. Their in pretty good condition. It's the two skirts and rearend. No front.

Maybe someone will prove me wrong, but I don't think that ground effects on your car would pay off investment wise. What have you been asking for it? How many miles?

KBB.com puts that car at $3,000 in "good" condition.

Autotrader.com has one with 136,000 miles for $2,800

        or 114,000 miles for $3,500

I'd say drop your price to 3100 and see what happens. Maybe let someone talk you down to 2900. I think your original asking price is too high. Installing the ground effects will not make the car worth much more. Value is based on year, miles and condition mostly. Options last. Some options are more important that others too. I doubt ground effects are a really desirable option.

        Does it have T-tops?
        Power windows / locks?
        CD player?
        Alloy rims?

I'd look for those options before I looked for ground effects.

Kelly Blue Book doesn't price the thousand dollars I have in stereo and Speaker system.

I don't wanna be mean but, I'm not asking you what else to look for or what you suggest about selling my car. I just wnana know about some cheap ground effects.

I know what I have and an uncle that could sell you the shirt on your back if the time of day was right, it helps to have a top notch salesman in your family.

You are better off removing the stereo and keeping it. The vast majority of people looking for a car are not shopping for a stereo. They are shopping for a car, and they want a deal.

Maybe with your family salesperson you will have some better luck than I ever have. I've always offered a choice to a buyer.. $500 extra includes the $1500 in stereo equipment. 3 times now, buyers have told me to remove the stereo and drop the price. I'm now puting the same soundstream amp in my 94 convert. that has been in 3 other cars.

As far as factory ground effects go, check out Billy Graham Camaro/Firebird salvage. He'll hook you up like a tow truck.
