Turbo V6 whatcha think??

so im buying a stock turbo and intercooler and up pipe from my buddy of a 04 wrx i need to change my injectors and reprogram my computer right? im not really sure im a really tight budget im getting all that from my buddy for 150 its all good to. but can someone help me with what am i really getting into parts wise i have to skill and knowledge i think to do it but not the time im having a speed shop do it for me its a 94 camaro v6 with light bolt ons exuahst underdrive pulleys drop in k&n what all do i really need to do this?? thanks ahead of time guys

The hardest part of all is getting the correct piping. Where you plan to mount the turbo, what kind of turbo is it? The size of the turbine? The custom fabrication of the piping to me is gonna be the challenge. A dyno tune is a must to make everything work and you'll be fabricating mounts for the intercooler. It's all possible, just how much time and how deep are your pockets? All in all, if you can pull it off, it would be neat.

I say the most expensive parts are going to be the custom charge tubes. If I recall correctly the WRX's Turbo is rather small. Its going to Spool up quick and max out PSI quick. The Price is unbeatable -the-less. I say with a little bit shy of $1k you can make it work. I say its going to be interesting to see how you mount the Intercooler and Turbo. Like Chris said, It would be pretty kew to see. A custom tune and flash is going to be a must

yea defintaly im thinking about moving my battery to the back and yes the wrx turbos are fairly small but with a v6 i reallly dont have to rely on all the turbo like alot of cars so i cna have it lag a little bit the turbo will spool up to i think around 10 - 12 which would be good so it can fit where my battery is but i will definately post pics when i get it done the place that is helping me has a 8 second v6 camaro turboed badass they said 6k for me to bring them my car and they do everything tune and all i just dont have that much so i got the turbo and shit so that should knock alot off but as soon as i get started ill post 'em

thats freaking awesome im not doing any forced induction anytime soon my motor has 125k on it and its a 3.4 i cant afford to blow it hopefully summertime i will be able to do something i never really thought of a supercharger

I've seen turbo 3.4s that just plain rip. As with anything, careful attention to the proper parts and tune will yield excellent results. The 3.4 is a great motor that suffers from poor heads and intake as delivered in F-bodies. A set of FWD heads and intake really wake up this little motor.

i understand and know that turbo is forced induction im not stupid im just saying im not gonna have the money to do it. i have to rebuild my big block in my truck due to a broken connecting rod and a snapped valve so i gotta rebuild that and in the mean time im repainting and doing some susp. and rear work but thanks for the help guys
