Lost 3rd and 4th,excuse for an upgrade

I have a kid looking for a T5/6 and all the other parts I need. Why put $1000 or so fixing an auto tranny, when for a little more I can put an six-speed in. Of course I am dealing with an language barrier (I don't speal Arabic), but there isn't a culture barrier. The shop had 3 vettes in it, one was a Z06 with the motor torn apart (too much spray) a 2002 WS6 for sale, and a couple Camaros in various stages of assembly. I should get a call later today if he found anything. Wish me luck!

Well a got to ride in the car that this guy was parting out. It was a LS1 camaro with 450HP and 720 on nitrous. I didn't want to drive it. My mechanic took me on a ride, he hit 160mph very fast. It was very loud. He has a borla exhaust, it sounded like wide open headers to me. Anyhow he wanted $2200 for all the parts needed to do the 6 speed incuding a new clutch. A little too rich for me. I guess I'll just get the auto fixed.

Well they are actually an anti-Mustang crowd! What I didn't like that they are willing to pay someone to wrench their cars, but the engine bays and the cars are filthy. I got to keep it clean. I bet my car comes back covered in greasy handprints. I'm getting my auto tranny rebuilt and a tranny cooler put in. I am going to wait a week or so and make an offer on the Borla Cat back.

I say for that, what they want for everything for he T56 swap I would just rebuild the A4. And get the cooler and maybe a shift kit.

i would have thrown in a new torque converter with a higher stall while you were at it.

Well I got my car back. He put in a torque converter out of a Vette and put new clutches in it. and a tranny cooler. Anyhow, it is now Eid and I have to wait a couple days til I take it back. Park doesn't lock the driveshaft.
