Mobil 1 Oil Cap for the LT1

Since I am using Mobil 1 oil in my 97 Formula WS6 I want the oil filler cap to match. I have heard that some people have switched caps but I cannot find the correct part number. Through a search I found GM part #12555685, but this cap that has a "insert and twist" fit and not threads like on the LT1 filler tube. Does anyone know the correct part number?

The Vettes which came with LT1s also came with Mobil 1 and had plastic valve covers with the Mobil 1 twist-on oil cap. I don't know if any LT1 Vettes had metal valve covers with the Mobil1 screw-on oil cap. I haven't seen one on an F-body.

I would like to know where to find one too. I have a friend w/an LT1 who was wanting one after seeing my mobil 1 oil cap. I tried doing a search, but couldn't find one.

Sorry I cant help with the cap as the number that you have is the one that I got to fit my 35TH LE .

But anybody looking for the plaque for the Mobil 1 the number is #10236268 .

from what i can see, those do not have the threads to screw them on, which the LT1s need.
