maf problems, still
i took out my maf sensor and took the car for a drive and the misfire wasn't there. but last week we changed the sensor with a new one and it did the same thing when the new one was in. any ideas what this problem could be?? it runs like crap, remove the sensor, it runs better, put in another sensor, runs like crap. i hate my car!!!

By removing the MAF sensor, the computer reverts to stored tables in the PCM in order to get the car running. Are you getting any stored codes?

Did you pull the PCM fuse for a few minutes before trying the new sensor? I had to do that with something I replaced (can't remember what) on my 96 Z28 to get it to recognize the the part was now functioning properly. Hope that helps, and somebody smack me if I'm way off base-I could use it...
