    Thanks to all who helped me with the lubricants question, it shed a lot of light on it for me, and confirmed what I had heard about synthetics being able to longer between changes.

    I did have one other question-I have been using FRAM oil filters-is there something better? About the only reason I started using FRAM (used to use AC Delco) is the new grippy stuff at the end of the filter-that LS 1 oil pan doesn't make gripping the filter easy!

    Oh yeah-will any quality synthetic ATF (Mobil 1, etc) work fine in the M6 trans?

      FRAM!? Goodness...that's why they invented filter wrenches! I would stop using that stuff ASAP.
