i thought about one of those. let me know if it helps. ive read that they are noisier as the stock units are baffled for acoustics.. which cuts flow rate and keeps epa types happy. how long on the install? slp support good or not? just curious on bang for the buck mostly. ..outside added note. get some caps for the topside terminals on the battery. seen them in the pic. god forbid ever an accident dont need a battery short via crunched hood etc. and if theres a fuel leak.. kaboom could mean simply an oh $#!* my car is toast, to plasitc surgey, to needing a tombstone. most of the car parts/ battery shops will give them too you or sell em really cheap if you ask around.. at least round here. and yes im aware the gm side mount terminals are uncovered. but why provide 2 possibilities for diaster vs one. just be safe as best you can.

The install was easy. SLP I heard has whatever support. I got it from summit and their support is awesome. The install took about 1 hour b/c I took apart the MAF and cleaned up the ends with a wire wheel. As for the battery posts. Never heard of a fire being started b/c a crunched hood and fuel but Yeah Im going to go to autoZone and get some covers. I was not able to tell the diff. Thats something you will notice on the Dyno not seat of the pants. Its a little louder but I always say, Louder is Better. As long as I can do this ( ) Im happy.
