  • Borla Installed, Now QTP or McCord?

Found a good deal for a new Borla and had it installed today.

Have one of the smaller plates in and I must say wow!

Still having a hard time wiping the grin off my face.

Am seriously considering getting an electric valve so I don't have to switch the plates should I choose to go "quiet"

    There are the QTP

    and the McCord .

Which one should I get. Is one better than the other?

I have a QTP for sale. Its exactly what you need. 3" and it bolts up the the Borla perfectly. Comes with the switch & all of the wiring. Only reason I am getting rid of it is that I need a different size. I am moving the cutout up towards the cat & I need a 2.5" unit. If your interested, PM me & we can discuss.

I have a QTP in mine. It works great! You'll love it.

Yeah, I love my Borla, too. That was the deciding feature for me, besides the fact that I wanted stainless, the fact that it could be quiet or loud, depending on how rowdy I felt-

There are a couple other manufacturers out there, also, though I have no first-hand experience. I have read about people experiencing short product life, so a good warranty is important, IMHO. They do work in a pretty tough environment-

Have a look at Race Ready Performance (dot com) and also DMH performance (cot com) for more ideas- I like the warranty from Race Ready, though, again, no personal experience with any of these items- yet!

I have the QTP unit. I did "improve" upon it by sealing the housing with RTV and using Loctite on the screws. Other than that, works fine.
