yeah like I said gonna try to get it for less, but I kinda like the styling of the LT1 cars better honestly and the low miles and the car being in amazing shape (and being exactly what I want, a Black 6-speed WS6 ) I'm willing to at least give it a look

Check the water pump for leakage from the weep hole, find out when the Opti and water pump were last changed or if they have been changed, check the front of the diff. for leaking from the pinion seal, find out if the clutch has been replaced (and if so, why...car with 40k shouldn't need a new clutch), if the coolant has been flushed, what kind of oil has been used (brand, type and weight...there's a difference between Castrol GTX and Castol Syntec, for example), any major problems (head gaskets, etc.), and see how worn the driver's side seat bolster is. One more thing, but I'm not sure if it applies to the WS6 or not (little tired right now). If the driveshaft is the factory steel unit that the other V8, non-1LE cars come with, see if you get any vibration at highway speeds. Hope this helps.

Carfax is a joke and a waste of money. They suckered me into buying their worthless service, but gladly they gave me my money back.

They were sued for being a hack company, btw.

If there are no ticks, knocks, leaks, etc... I'd say get it. These are well put together cars and if it checks out OK with only 40k, I'd say you're in good shape. I'd offer him 8k tho.

Ok so the car was described in the add and on the phone by the owner as immaculate... Like I said he wanted to much but if it was in GREAT shape I was willing to pay it.

                      Heres the rundown:

                      Tires are bald

All four rotors are rusted BAD

                      No brake pads left

Scratches on the right rear quarter

A crack in the paint right below the ram air scoop

                      engine oil was low

The owner didn't have enough gas in the car for me to take it for a test drive

The car was dirty and need of a wash for ing out loud

Basicaly a car that wasn't well cared for at all. So I made a 6 hour round trip to look at a POS

                      AAAArrrrrrgghhhhhhhhhh

                      The search continues
