Hmmmmmm perhaps I shouldn't go with the 5.0 then I thought that the shifts would be smoother as well as shorter

The shift "notchyness" is not due to the shifter. It is the design of the transmission being a top rail design instead of the old style where the shifter mounts on the side. All of the shifters for a top rail are just a rod going through a pivot point. They flop all over the place when not mounted to the transmission (no shift pattern). A side mounted shifter you can feel the shift pattern when not mounted. For a top rail the higher the shift point compared to the ball on the bottom that goes into the rail the more "notchy" it will feel due to leverage increase but to be honest I doubt you could tell the difference between any of the aftermarket shifters. This is why I said you really can't go wrong with any of the shifter you are looking at. Saying one is better than the other is just a matter of opinion because it is what they have delt with. Everybody thinks their stuff is the best.

Lol just write pro 5.0 and B&m on two different slips of paper mix them up and put them behind ur back, then have a friend pick which hand then buy the one he chooses. Either way you cant go wrong as soon as its installed you wont have any regret.
