Pushrod help

Hey guys,

I need to buy a new set of hardened pushrods for the crane roller rockers i'm putting on my Lt1. I've been looking through summit racing, but I can't seem to find something that says "factory length for an LT1". I don't want to end up buying the wrong ones...Also, any suggestion on guide plates? The rockers i'm putting on are 1.5 ratio, not 1.6. Thank you!

Do you just get the ones made for a 5.7L small block?

Are you asking "what is the stock length of the pushrods in an LT1"? I can look it up in my "Rebuilding the LT1/LT4" book, if you want.

Yeh, I guess that would solve my problem...its just really confusing because it says a bunch of different lengths will fit my year of the LT1, and I don't want to end up with the wrong ones.

Pushrods come in different lengths to allow for changes in deck height, head milling, rocker geometry, lifter length, etc. If you have done nothing to the stock engine and are installing what is basically a stock ratio 1.5X rocker arm, the stock pushrod is 5/16" diameter by 7-3/16" length. That's out of the book "How To Rebuild Small-Block Chevy LT1/LT4 Engines".
