  • Chrome polish?

I am looking for a chrome polish that will remove what looks like brake dust "caked in" the chrome. I tried Mother's chrome polish and while it definitely looked shiny, the brake dust still appears to be there. The surface feels smooth, and there is absolutely no pitting or peeling. Thanks.

I use Brasso, probably the same you are using. Worked well for me so far. http://www.instaoffice.com/Brasso-Li...6523RC.0.7.htm

Oddly, I use rust removal jelly. Keep the surface in the shade, wet it down and gently brush the rust remoal jelly over the surface and let it sit a minute or two. Rinse and brush with cool water and reapply if needed. Follow up with polish and sealer.
